In Western society, it is often observed that Eastern imagery, particularly the likeness of Buddha, is frequently used to create a "Zen" ambiance.  Haein Cho took note of the phenomenon where the image of Buddha is consumed without a deep cultural understanding in Western society and repurposed it. She transformed the commonly consumed representation of Buddha in Western society into the iconic image of Catholic Jesus Christ in Western culture.

서양 사회 속에서 "젠" 분위기를 조성하기 위해 동양 이미지, 특히 부처의 모습이 자주 사용되는 현상을 종종 관찰할 수 있습니다. 작가는 서구 사회에서 부처의 이미지가 문화적 이해 없이 소비되는 현상에 주목하고, 이를 재활용했습니다. 이 작가는 서양 사회에서 흔히 소비되는 부처의 형상을 서양 문화의 대표적 이미지인 가톨릭 예수 그리스도의 모습으로 변형시켰습니다.
