Ordinary Oddity

Artist Haein Cho creates a forum for public debate by resolving

academic and social problems through animation. In this

work, research materials and evidence from academia are

converted into animals' conversations and reproductions

so the audience can naturally discover the logical flaws of

historical revisionists.

<Ordinary Oddity> borrows Aesop's fable method in which animals inform their wisdom for visitors to interestingly watch topics that may feel heavy. The audience can think and judge more objectively, being a perfect observer.

조해인 작가는 학술적이고 사회적인 문제를 애니메이션으로

풀어냄으로써 공론화의 장을 만든다. 이번 작품에서는 학계의

연구자료와 증거를 동물들의 대화와 재현으로 변환해 관객이

자연스럽게 역사 수정주의자들의 논리적 결함을 발견하도록 한다.

<낯설지만 익숙한>은 자칫 무겁게 느껴질 수 있는 주제를 흥미롭게 지켜볼 수 있도록 동물들이 지혜를 알려주는 이솝우화 방식을 차용한다. 관객은 완벽한 관찰자가 되어 더욱 객관적으로 사고하고 판단할 수 있다.
